Hi, ever since the update to 1.9.9.3 I can't load the settings page for WPtouch. The page stops loading the menu bar on the left halfway, and the rest of the page is blank. I tried disabling all plugins but it doesn't help and both Safari and Firefox have the problem. Upgrading to 1.9.9.4 didn't solve it.

Safari's error console gives the following error:
    - Error: Please make sure that you're passing a valid element : /wp-content/plugins/wptouch/js/ajax_upload_3.9.js:288
    Firefox's error console shows this:
Error: [Exception... "'Error: Please make sure that you're passing a valid element' when calling method: [nsIDOMEventListener::handleEvent]" nsresult: "0x8057001c (NS_ERROR_XPC_JS_THREW_JS_OBJECT)" location: "<unknown>" data: no]

I'm working on Mac OS X 10.6.2 with Safari 4.0.4 or Firefox 3.0.17 with WordPress 2.9.2

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    David

Small update. When I change my site to the default Wordpress theme, it shows a bit more, like the title and icon of WPtouch, but still no settings. Also still the same error message.

Please update to WPtouch 1.9.9.5 and let me know if your problem persists.

I have the same problem and I'm using 1.9.9.5. Could it be a php issue? I'm running an oldish dapper server which tops out at php 5.1.2.

So a little more information here -- from my G1, it gives me "Data connectivity problem. The server failed to communicate. Try again later."

Since I'm running my own server, I'm happy to give you any debugging assistance you'd like. I'm just not sure where to look for the error messages.

Yet more information. Here is a screenshot of firefox's error console: http://yfrog.com/jm2010031212684311141280xp. I can snap the rest of the console if it would be useful.

As already mentioned by Zoof, upgrade to 1.9.9.5 didn't help. Errors stay the same. Oh, and I'm running PHP 5.2.

Latest update: it is fixed with v1.9.9.6. It was caused by lack if CURL installation/detection ;)

The setting pages on 1.9.9.7 is broken when FeedWordPress [a syndication plugin] is active. I turned it off, and everything works. I turn it back on, and its broken again.

I just installed WPtouch for the first time (latest version) and I'm having the same problem--the settings page will load. I tried uploading the files myself, it didn't work--so, I deactivated and added the plugin through the dashboard...same problem.

We've collected some more information on why this is happening for different scenarios, and we'll release an update next week to address it. Thanks everyone for submitting info and bug reports.

  14. I also get this error when I activate Feedwordpress with WPTouch 19.9.7 activated. This is my error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare fetch_rss() (previously declared in /hermes/bosweb/web019/b193/glo.djfokis/blog/wp-includes/rss.php:1214) in /hermes/bosweb/web019/b193/glo.djfokis/blog/wp-includes/rss.php on line 1348

I'm having the same issue in 1.9.9.7. If it's all resolved, then I'll just wait for the update! If you need error info, let me know. Thanks :)
