Would you please add a switch on the icon control that will allow the home screen icon to be set without the gloss effect? Apple allows this by naming the icon file as follows: apple-touch-icon-precomposed.png.

The information on this technique is documented at the Safari Dev Center: http://developer.apple.com/safari/library/documentation/InternetWeb/Conceptual/iPhoneWebAppHIG/MetricsLayout/MetricsLayout.html

Thank you so much for your time! I really enjoy your products, and they are of tremendous quality!

    Regards,

Just upload your 57x57px icon with that filename, apple-touch-icon-precomposed.png. That should do it.

Thought that would be easy enough! I noticed that you added this to the instructions on the latest update as well. However, in testing, I'm finding that the gloss still appears. Any help would be appreciated. :-)

You may look at my blog as example: http://www.neilforker.com. The home screen icon is a picture of me, and the file is named apple-touch-icon-precomposed.png.

    Dale:

I just updated to 1.9.9.7 and tested the new switch. It works perfectly! Thank you so much for adding this feature!
