BraveNewCode is an innovative company whose plugins have been downloaded and used by millions of individuals and businesses. We’ve helped organize several WordPress WordCamp conferences (including WordCamp Vancouver and WordCamp Whistler), and have attended and spoken at various conferences in the WordPress community and beyond.
Our team members are currently spread out between Los Angeles, the Toronto and Vancouver areas in Canada, and even as far away as Argentina. Everyone at BraveNewCode works remotely; we mostly collaborate using online tools and communications platforms, such as Skype. It’s an energetic work environment, and we’re looking for passionate, personable individuals to join our team.
We are currently accepting applications for the following positions at BraveNewCode:
Support Guru
We are looking for a Support Guru – someone to assist customers in our Pro (commercial plugin) forums for our products (WPtouch Pro, WordTwit Pro and Piggy Pro). The Support Guru works along with our other support staff to provide excellent customer care, and help solve problems for customers using our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Reply to support topics posted by customers in our Pro forums
- Address customer dissatisfaction quickly with problem solving, information providing, and offering resources
- Work with other support team members to divide and conquer topic postings & customer questions
- Maintain & improve BraveNewCode’s reputation as a leader in its WordPress products and product support
“Must Have” Requirements
- PHP, CSS, JavaScript basic understanding and experience
- Great vocational and written skills
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work using online collaboration tools
- Experience with BraveNewCode products (you can download them for free, so check them out!)
- Be fun, personable, and professional
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed and excel
- Can contribute at least 20hrs/week
“Would Be Nice” Skills
- Strong experience using our products (free or paid)
- Strong PHP, CSS, and JavaScript skills
- Past experience providing support for software/web services
- Can work full-time
- Experience using iOS and/or Android devices
