BraveNewCode consists of a growing team of Canadians dotted around the country. It began in 2007 as an inconspicuous design and development portfolio for the work of Dale Mugford and Matthew Good.

In early 2008, software engineer Duane Storey climbed aboard, contributing his extensive programming skills to the party, turning BraveNewCode from of a small website design studio into a full-blown web creation company.

We also are teamed with individual developers and designers on unique projects where needed.

the honchos

dale // has been designing and developing xhtml, css, javascript and multimedia projects since 1994. His love for all things CSS and web standards including accessibly ensure high-quality, cross-browser compatible projects.

duane // has been developing and building software applications and web-based architectures seemingly since birth, and has things like a masters of Applied Science and Computer engineering on his flashy superhero belt.

matt // is a canadian musician who also happens to be an excellent web designer. He’s been working with the web for over 12 years, and has been awarded several times for his popular blog and website. Matthew is also a voting member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.

We collectively work with clients to produce elegant, clear designs and development solutions which have a lasting, scalable future. We want our reputation to precede us, and our work to stand the test of time on the ever-changing web.

We’re not a “jack of all trades, ace of none” type of web startup. What we do, we aim to do perfectly. We strive to develop the future of the web, not ride the coattails of others who are.
