Duane Storey
Co-Founder
Duane is President of Development for BraveNewCode’s products and services. He previously developed software in voice & video over IP, and led a team to develop the media engine that was integrated into Yahoo! Messenger.
He holds an undergraduate degree in Engineering Physics and a master’s degree in Electrical and Computer engineering. In his spare time Duane plays guitar, and is a jet-setter–in the last 2 years he has lugged his laptop and his backpack to 18 different countries around the world.
Dale Mugford
Co-Founder
Dale is President of Design & Product Experience for BraveNewCode’s products and services. He also provides direction for company communications. For over 15 years, he previously designed websites independently, notably working on cutting-edge web experiences for Canadian recording artists, authors, and businesses before co-founding BraveNewCode with Duane.
In his spare time Dale enjoys meeting up with other creatives, doing a little fishing, & spending time with his fiancée and her son.
Martin Kuplens-Ewart
Product Designer
Martin has spent the past 15 years guiding, shaping, and advising interactive campaigns and identities for startups, non-profits, and government agencies. As product designer for BraveNewCode, he is constantly on the lookout for new opportunities to bring the promise of the mobile web to businesses and publishers.
Joyce Peralta
Community Specialist
Joyce joined BraveNewCode’s team in 2011. As our Community Specialist she oversees our social media and marketing communications. Joyce’s 15+ years of web experience include design, development and community management roles, and a decade’s worth of strategic positions on web teams at various universities. She loves music, the outdoors and tweeting about her favourite bands from mountain summits.
Emilio Rivera
Support Guru
Emilio has been involved in web development since 2005. Starting with Joomla! he eventually made his way to WordPress. He prides himself in providing great customer care and helping others get the most out of our products. He is an avid mixed martial arts fan and currently holds a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Diane is a digital tinkerer whose talents have contributed to sites large and small. She is an author, publisher, and story analyst who contributes her range of skills to BraveNewCode.
