Your WordPress Plugins are first class. I’ll be adding the newest version to my sites next week. One thing I noticed on the iPad version of your site is the “About Us” link only opens or closes the accordion. I can’t get to your “About Us” page. Is that bug or user error?

Thanks!
That’s a setting in WPtouch Pro- you can have parent pages show as links or not— that’s just what we setup for the site, but it’s customizable.

I’d like to update to the latest version but for some reason then I try to upgrade WordPress gives me an error saying it can’t create public_html. I went in and created one myself but that still didn’t work. I even downloaded the new version from your site and uploaded it by ftp to my site. It still shows up as version 2.08. I thought if I overwrote the old version it would show up as the new one but I guess not. How the heck can I upgrade to the new version? Any help would be appreciated. Please reply to lairbear@gmail.com
Thanks

I read about WPtouch and did not see how the mobile sitemap is being created. Is a mobile sitemap created by WPtouch?
How is Googlebot-mobile managed with the varying themes that get presented based on the vaious user mobile device?
How well are WPtouch templates designed related to on-site SEO?
Also, how does WPtouch manage WAP mobile phones versus smartphones? Do WAP devices receive a different theme that is simple as compared to the Ipad theme?
I am not sure if WPtouch addresses all mobile devices from WAP devices to the Ipad and would appreciate a more detailed response.
Thanks,
Brian

1) No, WPtouch Pro doesn’t create a mobile sitemap.
2) While WPtouch Pro has a lot of bells and whistles, fundamentally it’s a series of WordPress themes that are geared towards higher-end mobile devices. It uses the same title tags as the normal WordPress installation, and the same content. So other than a well designed theme, there is nothing special WPtouch Pro does for SEO.
3) WPtouch Pro isn’t targeted towards WAP devices – they will see what they normally see when a visitor visits the site. It’s targeted towards higher end smartphones such as the iPod, iPhone, Blackberry Storm, Android and the iPad.

Are the different mobile pages that are served to each mobile device STATIC pages on the server, or are they dynamic pages from the original wp site pages?
I am trying to determine if WPtouch creates MOBILE COMPLIANT pages that the mobile bots will crawl and index.

WPtouch creates dynamic pages, just like regular WordPress pages. It essentially “takes over” and shows its theme when a supported mobile device makes a request for a page or post.

Hi Guys
I tried your free version and found that videos on my posts did not play (payed badly on Android and Not at all on iTouch). i’m using Easyvideo Player 2 to embed videos – maybe that’s the problem.
I’m interested in buying the WPtouch Pro if that fixes the issues. Or do you have another suggestion for video post on a mobile platform?
Looks great otherwise.
Thanks

If the player is flash based then it won’t work because the devices themselves won’t support it. Most mobile devices support h.264 video, and video served through the html5 video tag.

I have a quick question. Is it possible to have the mobile theme just for one category in a blog ??
Ex. The main site will remain the same as it is, without WPtouch pro working on it.
but, it will work when someone clicks on the Blog which is a category in the site.
If that feature is not out of the box, will i be able to modify any code to make it work that way ?
Thanks in advance.

It’s possible I guess, but not a feature currently out of the box on WPtouch or WPtouch Pro.
