BraveNewCode Turns 2

Today marks the 2nd anniversary of BraveNewCode, something we’re very happy to say. When we started out Duane and I had no idea how any of this would turn out, and its been a ride and a blur in the past few years, and all of it worth it!

When we started out working on web projects, our pet project at the time came from a one-off plugin we used on a MatthewGood.org site re-design which included a mobile theme for Apple’s iPhone.

It was what would become WPtouch.

Originally we just wanted a cool theme to show on Apple’s then new iPhone, and soon it became apparent that others were interested in it for their own sites. Both Duane and myself have always been WordPress fanatics, and we wanted to give back to the community that we loved so much, so we offered WPtouch and other plugins like WordTwit and Earth Hour to show some love while we worked on client website projects.

WPtouch has grown a lot and changed a lot since then, and so too has BraveNewCode. We’re better coders and designers. We use better tools and strive for higher achievements. With WPtouch Pro we wanted to take things to the next level and do some pretty awesome stuff, so we knew we’d have to charge a little to invest the kind of time and dedication we know the project deserves. So far the response has been positive, and we thank all our current customers for supporting us and the WPtouch project.

So with all of that said, as BraveNewCode turns 2 we’re offering a nice giveaway to mark it, and make a lucky someone out there happy with a shiny new iPod touch + a WPtouch Pro license… free!

WPtouch allows my readers to stay informed & up to date with my blog while on the go. And it’s not just another “mobile” theme, it’s like a site of its own. Matter of fact I find myself accessing the site solely through the WPtouch version except when I need to write up large post. Great jobs fellas, keep it up.

Back when I blogged, it made using my site on iDevices so much easier! I thank you so much for that (great for my slow internet & slow 1G iPod Touch)

BraveNewCode has allowed me to work with WordPress in ways I didn’t imagine being able to work before, using both WPtouch and WordTwit…

  5. I am using a number of BraveNewCode plugins on my audio tour site, and I love them all. Every BNC product is extremely user-friendly and reliable.

WPtouch is easily the most important plugin on my site as I have a number of users who like to access content on my site through their iPhones and Android devices. The WPtouch theme is dependable and it looks great! I had a chance to beta test the new WPtouch 2.0 and let me tell you, it is a masterpiece! I plan on purchasing a Pro license within the week.

Thank you BraveNewCode for adding a whole new level of userability to my site!

WPtouch is THE plugin for WordPress. It’s making your blog even more complete.

  7. BraveNewCode seems to keep pushing, continually refining products that already rock.

  8. Great plugin and a very cool giveaway! Keep it up guys!

  9. Happy Birthday @BraveNewCode!

WPtouch — I remember the earliest versions being one of the only mobile-specific things out there. Now everything’s mobile-centric but it still kicks ass.

BraveNewCode — you guys work hard and have high self-imposed standards. It shows.

  10. WPtouch takes care of making your WP site mobile friendly. I can’t even imagine how much time it saves being able to install a plugin rather than having to hand-code a separate CSS file for a mobile version.
