WPtouch 1.8.5: Bug Fixes
Mar 29 2009 • Written By Dale Mugford • 4 Comments

We’ve released a small update today to WPtouch to address a couple issues related to switch links and CSS files. Under some situations the switch link wouldn’t return a user to the mobile theme, nor would the stylesheet for the switch link load with it in the default theme.

The update is recommended for all users.

Here’s the short list of the updates/changes for 1.8.5:

  • Fixed new switch link to work under different WordPress install scenarios
  • Fixed switch link CSS style-sheet loading issues in some situations
  • Added screenshot of new switch link appearance

    Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Hey guys,

Thanks for all the speedy updates, it’s very appreciated! I had one question, though, does the latest version work with the WP-Cache plugin?

I had used 1.8.1 and it broke WP-Cache, so I had to deactivate it. Please let me know!

    Thanks again!

Hi Aseem, we didn’t notice the issue, but we’re going to look into it. Likely happened with 1.8 and the core code re-write. It doesn’t help that we’ve worked in WordPress MU into the equation, but we’ll certainly figure out wehther the issue can be resolved or not.

WP-Cache has not been updated in a long time- I’d advise going with WP Super Cache instead, as it’s more powerful and maintained by core WordPress coder and all-around genius, Donnacha.

  3. Hi Dale,

I have recently upgraded to WP Super Cache actually! The plugin works fine with this plugin I am assuming?

    Thanks a lot,

    Aseem
