State Of The Code: WPtouch 1.6 Status
Dec 27 2008 • Written By Dale Mugford • 8 Comments

Just so that everyone isn’t scratching their heads wondering what the heck is taking so long for WPtouch 1.6, we thought we’d drop this post to let you in on the state of things.

It’s not that we didn’t fix the annoying white page bug, that’s fixed. Nor is it any other issue which is causing us delays. It’s simply that the holidays have roped us, and we’ve also got some client commitments which must be completed before we ship out a plugin update (gotta pay the bills, folks). The only remaining task is ensuring that the plugin’s admin interface looks good on both 2.7 and pre-2.7 releases, and we should have that done soon.

Hope everyone is having a good holiday,

~BNC

  1. Thanks for the update Dale. A very happy New Year to Duane and yourself and here’s hoping 2009 will see the stunning, jawdropping and most of all very powerful WPtouch 2.0 (with WP-SuperCache support please ;) ). All the best!

Haha! Yes, I imagine it’s not too far off that things will heat up with WPtouch again, as soon as the airs clear on the client front, which they’re scheduled to do : )

+1 to the super cache issue — will definitely donate to the cause for that. We’ve left caching off because so many users love WPtouch, but it’s hammering our servers (and our pocketbooks) not being able to cache.

love the plug in so far. It works really well. Are there any plans to intergrate capabilities with Gallery2? The site looks great on the phone until I get over to Gallery2 and than itjust looks bad. Not your issue of course, but just looking for any info if there is any.

Is it just me or is the WPtouch-admin.css file missing a chunk of code?

Not sure how this works, but it would be cool if the login link could take you right to the WordPress iPhone app, if installed.

@Jay Robinson: Hmm, good question. I don’t think you can target the app.
