WPtouch: The White Page Errors

If you’ve installed and setup WPtouch and are seeing a blank page when you try and load your site on an iPhone or iPod touch, we’ve got good and bad news: the good news is that we’re working on it, and the next release will have a fix. The bad news is that the problem is funky and is not reproducible on some of our test environments.

We originally planned to release the update today, but have not as of yet found the solution to the issue. As soon as we do we’ll release the update, which also bundles other refinements, and the addition of enabling login from the header (offers a new dropdown).

    hi,

    i had the same issue with WPtouch on my blog/iphone. it turns out not to be an WPtouch issue but rather a filezilla problem. precisely a filezilla 3.1.5.1 problem. fz forgot to load up the WPtouch/themes folder. i had the same problem with several other plugins where sub-folders were missing as well.

    Hi Daniel, others have reported other white page issues, and we’ve isolated a reason regarding how WordPress handles home page and posts page definitions in the settings – > reading area of the admin.

    Thanks for your comment though- until we have a better FAQ for the plugin comments from users and their experiences help others greatly.

    Hi…

    I tried a new version of Filezilla on my Mac, and it works now too for me. Before there was the blank page and now it is the right Content with WPtouch. Perfect. Thanks a lot !!!

  4. Hi Dale,
    I still have the WhitePageError issue. Uploaded the latest WP and WPtouch Versions.
    But still …

    The strange thing is, when i tested it for the first time it was working perfect.
    And all of sudden, i do have this whitepage error.
    I de-installed all plug-ins. I run WP only with the WPtouch.

    Even with the standard WP themes it doesn’t work anymore.

    Any News from your side? You say with the 1.5 Version the White Error Page Bug is fixed? But hey, i am really patient. I really love your stuff and appreciate it a lot.

      @ JUAN: Yes, we’re working on the issue. Has to do with re-directs and WordPress’ page for posts and home page options in the WP admin. We’ve been working on finding the best way to both keep that option in use for WP users while adding some more choices for WPtouch.
