A Quick WPtouch Update
Jul 7 2008 • Written By Dale Mugford • 4 Comments

Duane and I have been on tandem semi-coinciding vacations, and as such have been a little behind in our WPtouch progress. Suffice it to say though we’re making progress now, and have a battery of features to add and improve over the coming weeks, including:

  • Language localization
  • More Ajax usage, switch to jQuery instead of Scriptaluous for faster load times
  • Support for custom WPtouch themes, like WordPress itself (a BIG one)
  • Support for podcasting features (video/audio)
  • Elegant flash degradation
  • Support for private entries
  • Support for Disqus comments Included in 1.1!
  • And much more…

On the localization front, please read Duane’s entry and let us know whether you can help us in that department. Just because we’re code gurus doesn’t mean we know everything- especially dozens of other languages.

    Hi,

Love this theme/plugin. Just update to WP 2.6 and I am getting this error on the plugin setup page:

Warning: unserialize() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/WPtouch/WPtouch.php on line 451

(x’s put in for security sake).

    Thanks,
    Shane.

Same “Warning: unserialize() expects…” error here with WP 2.6

  3. Wow! Thanks so much for the Disqus support! This is more than I ever could have asked for. :)

I just installed WP 2.6 and updated WPtouch (which is great) and I’m getting the following warning in the settings.

Warning: curl_setopt() [function.curl-setopt]: CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when in safe_mode or an open_basedir is set in /home/myusername/shortpoem.org/wp-content/plugins/WPtouch/load-news.php on line 8

    What do I do?
